With over 30 years; experience at all levels in the hairdressing industry and as the longest-running president of the Irish Hairdressers’ Federation, David has a  passion, drive and determination to improve the industry and raise standards. 

David has grown businesses from the ground up to successful salons turning over seven-figures. With an extensive knowledge of the industry and running successful salons, David has launched Salon Edge training academy to help raise industry standards by supporting, advising and mentoring salon owners, managers and their teams so they can achieve their dreams. 

You may also know David as the founder of the House of Colour Salon Group in Dublin.  David Campbell and Susan Byrne founded House of Colour in 1997 and it now boasts more than 100 staff working in five salons and a training academy, making it the biggest award-winning salon group in the history of Irish hairdressing, boasting national and international honours. 

A member of the National Apprenticeship Steering Group, David also founded the Star Team to help the brightest and best apprentices grow in the hairdressing superstars of the future. David is also author of Headstart which encourages new trainees to join the hairdressing industry.

As the founder of Spark, David also helps empower women to take positions of power in the hair industry.
